Valerie Chepp

Valerie Chepp is an assistant professor of sociology and social justice at Hamline University. Her areas of specialization include the intersection of race/class/gender inequality, culture, social change, and qualitative research methods. Her current research examines how young spoken word poets use art as a form of political protest and engagement. She is co-creator and co-editor of the award-winning teaching website The Sociological Cinema.
