Todd Nicholas Fuist is Associate Professor of Sociology at Illinois Wesleyan University. His research interests include politics, identity, media, and the environment, with a focus on how culture serves to motivate socio-moral action. He is co-editor of Religion and Progressive Activism: New Stories about Faith and Politics, with Ruth Braunstein and Rhys H. Williams. His work has also been published in Theory and Society, Sociological Forum, the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion, and Social Movement Studies. His current project is a book on successful environmental movements.
