Mark Treskon is a Senior Policy Strategist at the Center for Working Families, a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing and promoting policy reform in New York State. He is also a PhD candidate at New York University. His dissertation studies the intersection of social movements and formal policy-making in the United States through an analysis of efforts by advocacy organizations to stem ‘predatory’ home lending practices during the subprime boom of the 2000s. He situates efforts by advocacy organizations to pass munipal-, state-, and federal-level anti-predatory lending legislation within the context of rapid changes to the financial industry and its regulatory landscape.
What a great man Mark Treskon is. Hope he will live a longer life so he can continue doing good works and protecting small people like us.
