Marcus Michaelsen

Marcus Michaelsen (Ph.D. Media and Communication Studies) is a researcher affiliated to the Law, Science, Technology and Society (LSTS) research group at Vrije Universiteit in Brussels. His research investigates digital transnational repression against political activists, journalists and human rights defenders in exile and diaspora communities. He held a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program and also was a Senior Information Controls Fellow with the Open Technology Fund.
