Kelsy Kretschmer is an assistant professor of sociology in the School of Public Policy at Oregon State University. She is interested in the various ways that activists create and manage boundaries within and between social movement organizations. Her book, Not NOW: Bureaucracy and Factionalism in the National Organization for Women is forthcoming at the University of Minnesota Press. Her work has also appeared in various journals, including Mobilization, Qualitative Sociology, and Sociological Forum, among others.
