Kate Wood

Kate is a doctoral candidate in the department of sociology at the University of California, San Diego, whose research interests include culture, education, inequality, and organizations. Her dissertation looks at the ramifications of the idea of the ‘typical college experience’ for a diverse range of undergraduates across two university campuses, with a particular focus on the dimensions of race and class. Additionally, she is co-author (with UC San Diego Professor Amy Binder) of Becoming Right: How Campuses Shape Young Conservatives (Princeton University Press, Fall 2012).
