Jeanne Flavin

Jeanne is Professor of Sociology at Fordham University.  Her work examines gender, crime, and reproductive justice. She is the author of the award-winning book Our Bodies, Our Crimes: The Policing of Women’s Reproduction in America (2009), and other scholarly publications. She is the recipient of a 2009 Fulbright award and the 2013 Sociologists for Women in Society’s Feminist Activism Award.  She presently serves as president of National Advocates for Pregnant Women’s board of directors.
