Felicia McGhee, Ph.D. is assistant professor of communication at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Before pursuing an academic career, she worked 15 years as a television news reporter and anchor at stations in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. Most recently she was host of a public affairs show, “Tennessee Insider,” on the PBS affiliate in Chattanooga. She also served as a political analyst for the Jim Lehrer News Hour during the 2008 presidential election. Her research interests include historical social movements and media framing of minorities.
