Eulalie Laschever

Eulalie Laschever is a Doctoral Candidate in Sociology at the University of California, Irvine. Her areas of expertise include social movements and social change, political sociology, and American gun politics. She is currently concluding a dissertation that examines how the gun control and gun rights movement responded to, and both capitalized on, the shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the Fulbright Program and has appeared in academic journals like Sociological Forum and Social Movement Studies, and edited volumes like The Oxford Handbook of American Political Development.
