Emily Hencken Ritter (PhD 2010, Emory University) is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Vanderbilt University. Her work on the strategic interactions between repression and dissent have been published in the Journal of Politics, Journal of Peace Research, and American Political Science Review. Her co-authored book, Contentious Compliance: Dissent and Repression under International Human Rights Law, is published by Oxford University Press.
