Eduardo Silva

Eduardo holds the Lydian Chair in the Department of Political Science, is Professor of Political Science, and a Research Associate of the Center for Inter-American Policy and Research at Tulane University.  He is the author of Challenging Neoliberalism in Latin America (2009) and The State and Capital in Chile (1996).   He is co-editor with Francisco Durand of Organized Business, Economic Change, and Democracy in Latin America (1998) and with Paul W. Drake of Elections and Democratization in Latin America, 1980-85 (1986).  He has published extensively on social movements, business-state relations and environment and development in journals such as World PoliticsComparative PoliticsDevelopment and ChangeLatin American Politics and SocietyLatin American Research ReviewJournal Latin American StudiesEuropean Review of Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and Global Environmental Politics among others.
