Edelina M. Burciaga is an assistant professor of Sociology at the University of Colorado, Denver. Her research and teaching interests include immigration, socio-legal studies, Latina/o sociology, and social movements. Her research specifically examines the experiences of Latinx undocumented immigrants who came to the United States as children, and remain here without a pathway to citizenship. She is especially interested in the role of place in shaping the incorporation trajectories and experiences of belonging amongst undocumented Latinx youth. The results of this research has appeared in Mobilization (co-authored with Lisa Martinez), Ethnicities (co-authored with Roberto Gonzales), and Law & Policy (co-authored with Andrea Flores and Kevin Escudero).
