Alison is a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Clayman Institute for Gender Research at Stanford University. She holds an MA and PhD in Sociology with an emphasis in Feminist Studies from the University of California-Santa Barbara. Alison also earned an MA in Media and Communications from the University of London, Goldsmiths College. Her research interests are in the areas of social movements, gender, and culture. In Alison’s dissertation, she employs qualitative and quantitative data gathered at three different college campuses to explore the cultural, structural, and organizational features of the U.S. feminist movement.
